The Manhattan grand jury will take a break from the Trump case.

The Manhattan grand jury intends to take a month-long pause in consideration of the case against former US President Donald Trump.

This development of events is connected with a break planned in advance in the work of the jury. Because of this, the filing of charges against the former head of state may take place no earlier than the end of April, however, as the publication emphasizes, the schedule of the Grand Jury may change.

Thus, sources note that one of the prerogatives of the District Attorney of Manhattan is the ability to apply to the jury with a request for an unscheduled reconvening. This scenario will allow the consideration of the Trump case to continue, ignoring the planned pause.

A Manhattan court is hearing a case against Trump, in which he may face charges related to the investigation of the case with porn actress Stormy Daniels. She was allegedly paid a large sum to keep quiet about her alleged affair with Trump. The ex-president himself previously denied both the connection with Daniels and any illegal actions on his part.

Trump has also said that the persecution is purely political and linked to his intention to run for president in 2024.
