The military warehouses of the NATO countries are empty because of the help to Kyiv, was said in Poland.

Warehouses of military equipment of NATO countries are empty because of assistance to Ukraine, said Polish Ambassador to NATO Tomasz Shatkovsky.

Answering the question why NATO countries have not been so actively transferring weapons to Ukraine lately, he noted that “this is a kind of natural process, since on the one hand we are dealing with public opinion fatigue, and public opinion has been a decisive factor in many countries when it comes to the policy of supporting Ukraine“.

“The second is also the depletion of military equipment and weapons warehouses. And many countries have already faced this – to maintain minimal capabilities or we will continue to support Ukraine,” the ambassador said.

According to the ambassador, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg considers it necessary to continue helping Ukraine against the backdrop of a decrease in NATO military stocks.

“Here, the Secretary General goes quite far in his declarations or appeals, as he claims that in some cases it is much more important for our security to transfer equipment to Ukraine than to maintain certain norms, for example, proposed by the North Atlantic Alliance, when it comes to stockpiles of military equipment,” Shatkovsky said.
