The parties to the conflict in Sudan have agreed to a UN-proposed humanitarian cessation of fighting from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the UN Mission in Sudan said in a statement.

“General Burhan, Commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces, and General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Commander of the Rapid Reaction Force, agreed with the proposal of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sudan, Volker Perthes and the Trilateral Mechanism, to commit themselves to a temporary suspension of hostilities for humanitarian reasons today from 16.00 to 19.00” , the message says.


It is noted that the Special Representative holds the parties and their forces responsible for the fulfillment of the undertaken obligation.
