The UN hopes to solve the problem with US visas for Russian diplomats.

The UN hopes that the problem with issuing US visas to Russian diplomats will be resolved with the host country, Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary General Farhan Haq told.

“This is a problem. And we hope that it will be resolved with the host country,” Haq said.

Earlier, the representative of the Russian Federation at a meeting of the open-ended group on information and communication technologies, Irina Tyazhlova, said that the United States did not issue visas to a number of Russian diplomats to participate in the regular session of the group.

She asked the UN Secretariat to take measures to stop such harmful practices of Washington.
