The United States did not answer the UN Security Council question about the deployment of nuclear weapons in Europe.

Deputy Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN Robert Wood did not answer the question of the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the world organization Vasily Nebenzi in the UN Security Council about whether Washington is deploying its nuclear weapons in Europe.

On Friday, the UN Security Council is meeting on Russia’s plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. Wood stated that the US has not and will not violate the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

“I would like to ask my American colleague a simple question: can he confirm or deny that American nuclear weapons are located not only on the national territory of the United States, but also on the territory of Europe? Maybe he will dare to answer this question in this hall,” Nebenzya asked.

Wood did not take the answer.
