The United States plans to continue operating the ISS until 2030

The United States intends to continue operating the International Space Station (ISS) after Russia withdraws from the project. The station will be in use until 2030. This was announced by the head of the American ISS program Joel Montalbano.

“My plan is to use it at full capacity until 2030,” he said, speaking at the ISS Science and Research Conference.

It is noted that Russia did not inform NASA of its intention to withdraw from the ISS project.
Earlier on Tuesday, July 26, Yury Borisov, Director General of the State Corporation Roscosmos, announced that the decision to withdraw Russia from the ISS project after 2024 had been made. According to him, the creation of the Russian Orbital Service Station (ROSS) will be a priority in manned cosmonautics.
