The US Congress called for an investigation into the discovery of classified papers from Biden.

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy called on Congress to investigate incidents with classified documents from President Joe Biden.

A scandal erupted in the United States due to the fact that secret documents were found in Biden’s office in the expert center in Washington. On Thursday, the White House announced that a new piece of classified material had been found at Biden’s home in Wilmington. All materials refer to the period of his vice presidency in the administration of Barack Obama and could, in violation of the regulations, be with Biden when he was a private person.

“I think Congress should look into this,” McCarthy told reporters on Thursday.

Biden was a vice president who kept classified documents “in the public domain,” he said.

“The constitution should apply equally to everyone,” McCarthy said, accusing the current administration of double standards and pointing to a raid on former President Donald Trump’s estate when classified documents were discovered.

They distributed photographs of these documents. Where are Biden’s documents? Where are the photographs? … This is what prevents Americans from believing their government,” the speaker said.
