The American media claim that Kiev’s conduct of a possible offensive is being questioned against the background of heavy losses among experienced soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The number of experienced Ukrainian soldiers is decreasing, which casts doubt on the viability of the offensive operation, which should begin in the next few months,” the publication says.

According to media reports, Kiev hopes to launch an offensive in the spring due to fears that Western support may weaken if the country does not show a “clear path to victory.”

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, commented on the situation to the TV channel. According to him, at the beginning of the conflict, almost all servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were experienced servicemen who had been trained for several years.

“Unfortunately, people are dying, Ukrainians are dying. People on the front line are exhausted. Therefore, we must change them,” he said.
