Tom Cruise to receive Pioneer of the Year award at Cinemacon

Tom Cruise is an actor who will probably receive another prestigious Hollywood award, the Top Gun star nominated as a recipient of the 2018 Pioneer of the Year award.

The Hollywood A-lister will take home one more statuette, on April 25, 2018, the special honour – Pioneer of the Year – be given to Mr Cruise at Cinemacon, the National Association of Theater Owners’ annual convention in Las Vegas. Cruise is the first actor to receive the award of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.

So, what does mean this new award? The Pioneer of the Year honour is given to a member of the motion picture community to honour professional leadership, service, and commitment to philanthropy. Cruise is currently filming the sixth reincarnation in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise for release on July 27, 2018, for Paramount Pictures, followed by “Top Gun: Maverick” on July 12, 2019.

According to Kyle Davies, Head of the Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, Cruise’s contributions to the film industry as both an actor and producer is tremendous. he always supports the useful initiatives, inspiring audiences everywhere what has made him a true pioneer in his field:

“We are delighted that Tom will be receiving this well-deserved honor,”

Kyle added.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise is almost finished with the work on the set of Mission Impossible 6 where he plays with the young generation of the actors like Henry Cavill. Tom even got some injuries while filming the action movie, now his ankle is much better. On April, we will see the actor at the Cinemacon with the Pioneer of the Year award in his hands.
