Trump warns US troops can use lethal force against migrants from Mexico

Donald Trump warned that the US troops can use the lethal weapon to stop the migrants’ caravan in Tijuana, SkyNews reported. On Friday morning, thousands of migrants are at the border after travelling more than 4,000km from Central America.

The US President told to the journalists that if the White House finds that it gets to a level where the US is going to lose control or where people are going to start getting hurt, the American troops will close entry into the country for a period of time until we can get it under control.

“The whole border. I mean the whole border. Mexico will not be able to sell their cars into the United States where they make so many cars,” Trump added.

This week, after a federal judge put the president’s administration’s asylum policy on hold, Mr Trump’s border threat comes again. Moreover, the US President expressed his opinion regarding judge’s decision: “Judges must not legislate security and safety at the border. They know nothing about it and are making our country unsafe,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, migrants caravan is getting bigger, almost 3,000 Central American migrants have arrived in the Mexican border city of Tijuana. More than 2,750 have sought refuge in a shelter set up by the mayor’s office. The week has started from the protests- hundreds of border city residents have protested against the migrants’ presence and urged them to leave, shouting: ‘Out! Out!’

President Trump claimed there were “fistfights all over the streets” in Tijuana, Mexico, which the migrants have reached, and “these are not like normal, innocent people”. That is why Trump warned the US troops can use lethal force against migrants from Central America.
