Turkey announced preparations for a meeting in Istanbul on the grain problem

A meeting on the “grain issue” in Istanbul is being worked out by the Turkish authorities and interested parties, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said on June 26.

He noted that while there are certain problems in the export of Ukrainian grain.

“There are some details that need to be worked out. Russia and Ukraine have concerns, we are trying to find a solution. We say, let’s put an end to Istanbul… I hope it won’t be too late. The whole world is affected by this situation. We have no problems, a fruitful year for us. However, we do not want the countries of the region to experience problems,” Oktay said.

Recall, earlier Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said that there is some progress in the issue of exporting grain from the Black Sea ports, but some technical issues remain unresolved, requiring discussions with Russia, Ukraine and the UN.
