Turkey has started negotiations on the lease of land for agriculture with 10 countries

The Turkish authorities are negotiating the lease of land for agricultural production with 10 countries, including Ukraine. Negotiations are also taking place with the countries of Africa and Latin America.

It is planned to grow mainly those crops abroad, the production of which is impossible or difficult in Turkey due to climatic conditions or other reasons. Sunflower, sugar cane, corn, mango, pineapple, avocado are going to be planted. Basically, these products will be exported.

“Turkey satisfies domestic demand for agricultural products, but if we are talking about exports, then it is necessary to rent land abroad,” said Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the country Vahit Kirisci.

He added that it is necessary to supply modern products for export.
