Turkish foreign minister to begin Gulf tour Tuesday

The Turkish foreign minister will kick off his a three-day tour to the Middle East to visit Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, Yeni Safak reports.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Monday that Mevlut Cavusoglu scheduled tol pay official visits to the countries of the Persian Gulf. Between 9 and 11 February, the top Turkish diplomat will pay a visit to Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.

According to the schedule, Mevlut Cavusoglu will hold talks with his counterparts and other high-level authorities on the occasion of these visits.

“During these meetings, various aspects of our bilateral relations will be reviewed and views on current regional and international issues will be exchanged,” the Turkish MFA reads.

The top Ankara diplomat is also scheduled to meet with Turkish businesspeople operating in the Gulf countries.
