US deployed 12 Raptors to Poland

The United States has deployed 12 F-22 Raptor fighter jets to Poland to reinforce NATO’s eastern flank. The machines are based at the base in the city of Lusk. This was announced during a special briefing by the commander of the 90th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron of the US Air Force, Michael Kendall.

According to him, combat aircraft periodically make training flights in the sky over Slovakia, Estonia, Germany and the Baltic coast.

“The basis of our mission in Poland and on the eastern flank is the joint exercises and training of our partners. The purpose of these actions is to protect European NATO countries,” Kendall said.

At the base in Lask, in addition to 12 fighters, about 300 representatives of the US Air Force are currently deployed. According to the Polish side, sending fighters of this type will allow pilots to study modern technology in more detail, which will benefit further bilateral military cooperation between Warsaw and Washington.
