U.S. Navy foils Iranian ship’s attempt to hijack U.S. unmanned surface craft in the Persian Gulf

We are talking about the Saildrone Explorer, equipped with sensors, radars and cameras for navigation and data collection. According to US Navy 5th Fleet Commander Timothy Hopkins, an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) vessel was towing a drone when a US warship and helicopter approached it. The Navy repeatedly approached the Iranians, who eventually released the drone.

Earlier, Iranian drones launched multiple strikes on the US Air Force base in Kuwait: the attack was carried out by at least four aircraft. The strikes were carried out along the perimeter of the US military airbase, which previously hosted F-35 fighter jets and MQ-9 Reaper drones. Information about the attack and its effectiveness is confirmed by satellite images: judging by them, a very large area of the military facility was affected.
