A passenger train collided with a truck in the Czech Republic.

A passenger train collided with a truck on Monday near the town of Holesov in the east of the Czech Republic, the carriages derailed, 10 people were injured, Gabriela Netopilova-Slushtikova, an ambulance service spokeswoman, told reporters.

“As a result of a collision between a passenger trip and a truck, 10 people were injured, mostly of a minor nature, only the driver of the truck was seriously injured. All the victims are receiving medical assistance,” Netopilova-Slushtikova said.

In turn, the Railway Administration of the Republic reported on Twitter that the probable cause of the accident, as a result of which the cars derailed, was the inattention of the truck driver. There were about 50 people on the train. It is noted that the traffic on this section is temporarily suspended, the passengers of the train were taken by bus to the nearest railway station.
