Canada will allocate $55.7 million for the purchase of air defense systems for Ukraine.

Canada intends to allocate about 76 million Canadian dollars ($55.7 million) to Germany’s initiative to purchase air defense systems for Ukraine, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair said on Friday.

“I am pleased to announce today that Canada will contribute C$76 million to Germany’s Air Defense Initiative,” Blair said.


His statement was made during a joint press conference with the head of the German Ministry of Defense Boris Pistorius at the ceremony of signing a document of intent regarding the allocation of new funds for the needs of Kyiv.
