China is ready to strengthen political mutual trust and deepen pragmatic cooperation with Islamic countries,  Chinese President Xi Jinping said.

“China is ready to continue cooperation with Islamic countries to preserve traditional friendship, strengthen political mutual trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and expand humanitarian exchanges,” Xi Jinping wrote in his address to the 15th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The Chinese leader noted that in recent years, China and Islamic countries have supported each other on issues involving each other’s core interests and grave concerns, achieved fruitful results in pragmatic cooperation, and continuously improved friendly relations, creating a model of South-South cooperation.
