Iran has imposed sanctions on Britain’s defense minister over its support for Israel.

Iran has sanctioned British Defense Minister Grant Shepps, representatives of the leadership of the country’s armed forces, the British Akrotiri airbase in Cyprus and three British companies for supporting Israeli actions against Palestine, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reports.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran… has imposed sanctions on a number of British institutions and individuals for their deliberate actions in support and assistance of the Israeli regime, including the commission of terrorist acts against peace and security at the regional and international level… systematic violation of human rights, incitement to war, the use of heavy and prohibited weapons against the civilian population, the humanitarian blockade, the deprivation of the Palestinian people of permanent residence, the illegal construction of settlements and the continued occupation of Palestinian territories,” a message posted on the official Telegram channel of the foreign ministry Iran says.
