The head of the Moldavian Foreign Ministry went on a visit to the UK.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Moldova Mihai Popsoi is leaving on Tuesday on an official visit to the UK, where he will have a number of meetings with officials of the country, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

“Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi will pay an official visit to the UK on April 30 – May 1. In London, the Deputy Prime Minister will hold a series of meetings with officials: British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, Minister of State for European Affairs Nusrat Ghani, Advisor Prime Minister for National Security Tim Barrow, members of Parliament – the House of Commons and the House of Lords,” a message published on the Foreign Ministry website says.


The ministry clarified that the Moldovan delegation led by Secretary of State Caroline Perebinos will take part in the third meeting of the Moldova-UK Strategic Dialogue. The British delegation will be led by Minister for European Affairs Nusrat Ghani.

 


Relations between Moldova and the UK reached a new level in 2020, when an agreement on strategic partnership, trade and cooperation between the two states was signed.
