The son of Soros considers himself more political than his father.

The son of American billionaire George Soros, Alexander, to whom his father transferred control of his funds, said that he is more political than his predecessor.

“I’m more political,” Alexander said in an interview.

He also stressed that he wants to invest in the fight for the right to vote, the right to abortion and gender equality.

Alexander Soros also plans to continue supporting American left-wing politicians. He recently met with US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to discuss issues related to the family foundation.

Soros Jr. replaced his father as chairman of the board of the Open Society back in December 2022. He is the only family member who, as part of the investment committee, oversees Soros Fund Management, the company that is responsible for the funds for the fund.
