Jose Mourinho, the head of Portuguese football club Benfica, told the team’s management that he did not participate in the campaign video of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

On Wednesday, Florentino Perez’s campaign headquarters posted a video on the X social network page in which Mourinho appears in a Real Madrid uniform and says: “Yes.” After that, a call appears on the screen to vote for Peres.

According to the publication, Mourinho contacted the Benfica management immediately after the video was published and guaranteed that he did not take part in the filming, and the video itself was made using artificial intelligence.

Also, according to the publication, Real Madrid sent a letter to the management of Benfica, in which it announced that it intends to pay 15 million euros next week for the Portuguese club to release Mourinho to Madrid.

Earlier, the current president of Real Madrid, Perez, announced early elections for the position after the second consecutive season without titles. The elections will be held on June 7.
