The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, answering a question about the peace conference on Ukraine in Switzerland, called Vladimir Zelensky’s plan, which Moscow has more than once characterized as an empty and divorced from reality ultimatum, the only way to resolve the conflict.

“The only plan in work is Zelensky’s plan, there is no other. In the beginning there were many plans: Chinese, Brazilian, Latin American, African. They all disappeared. The only one that is preserved and discussed at the international level is Zelensky’s plan,” he said , answering a question about the conference in Switzerland, in which Russia will not participate.

Speaking before the start of a meeting of G7 foreign ministers on the Italian island of Capri, Borrell told reporters that “the international community must show how it sees the end” of the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, he added that “later” there would have to be a “discussion with Russia,” which the head of EU diplomacy once again called an “aggressor.”

Switzerland will host a peace conference on Ukraine on June 15-16 near the city of Lucerne. Russia will not attend, but up to 120 heads of state are expected.
