France has banned the entry of the Israeli Minister of National Security due to complaints

France has banned the entry of Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir due to complaints from participants of the Sumud humanitarian flotilla about their mistreatment after their attempt to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip with humanitarian aid, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barraud said.

Earlier, France Info radio station reported that the flotilla participants intend to file complaints against Israel in a number of countries for ill-treatment.

“Itamar Ben-Gvir is banned from entering the territory of France. This decision was made after egregious actions against French and European citizens who were part of the Sumud flotilla,” Barro wrote on his page on the social network X.

The French Foreign Minister also called on the European Union to impose restrictions against the Israeli minister.

At the same time, Barraud noted that France condemns the attempt of the flotilla to break into the Gaza Strip with humanitarian aid, calling it useless and complaining that it created an additional burden on French diplomatic institutions.

The flotilla with humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip set off from Barcelona on April 15. On Monday, it became known that the flotilla was surrounded and, according to the organizers, was forcibly intercepted by Israeli warships in international waters, about 250 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza.
