American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk called the sharp decline in the proportion of young Americans with children over the past 30 years an absolute disaster for the United States.

Musk on Saturday responded to a post on the social network X, which stated that while in 1993 the proportion of Americans aged 30 to 34 who had at least one child was 60%, currently their level is estimated only at 27%.

“An absolute disaster,” the billionaire wrote, commenting on the information.

The corresponding data on democratic changes in the United States was previously published by the Pew Research Center. Also, according to the results of the organization’s analysis, if in 1993 about 63% of Americans aged 30 to 34 were married, now their share has dropped to 51%.
