NATO allies are aware of Ukraine’s air defense needs, Stoltenberg said.

NATO allies are aware of Ukraine’s needs for air defense systems and will assess their capabilities to send additional Patriot systems, the organization’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said following a meeting of the foreign ministers of the alliance countries.

“NATO allies recognize the urgency and needs of Ukraine for more ammunition and systems, including air defense systems, they will assess their capabilities and consider whether they can supply more systems,” he said, answering a question from reporters about possible additional supplies of Patriot systems.

According to him, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on Thursday told allies “about short-term and long-term needs, the situation on the battlefield is serious, and Ukraine needs more ammunition and weapons systems.”
