The G7 countries are more united than ever, Blinken said.

G7 countries are now more united than ever amid critical challenges to the global community, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

“We emerge from this meeting of foreign ministers more united than ever, more united in the face of the critical challenges facing the international community,” Blinken said at a news conference on the sidelines of the meeting.

Among the challenges, he pointed out the conflict in Ukraine and escalation in the Middle East.

The foreign ministers of the G7 countries gathered on April 17-19 on the Italian island of Capri to discuss pressing issues on the international agenda, including conflicts in Ukraine, the crisis after Iran’s attack on Israel and the situation around the Gaza Strip and the Red Sea.
