Two military helicopters collided in Malaysia.

Two military helicopters crashed after colliding during a rehearsal for the 90th anniversary parade of the Royal Malaysian Navy.

“Two military helicopters collided today during a rehearsal for the 90th anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM), scheduled for May,” local media wrote.


It is believed that the AgustaWestland AW139 medium multi-role helicopter and its light counterpart, the Eurocopter Fennec, collided, possibly carrying 10 people. According to preliminary data, one of the helicopters crashed at the entrance to the Lumut airbase stadium, and the other fell into the swimming pool of the airbase’s sports complex.


The number of victims has not yet been reported; an investigation is underway.
