Washington called on Kyiv to cancel Zelensky’s important decision.

US Representative Chris Smith introduced a resolution calling on the government in Kyiv to lift the 2021 ban on the adoption of Ukrainian children by American citizens.

“International adoption can be a very rewarding way to connect children in need of parents with families who are willing and able to open their hearts and homes to them,” the document states.

Smith believes that it is in the interests of Ukraine itself to return to the practice of adopting children by Americans during the conflict with Russia.
