Israel has launched a series of attacks on southern Lebanon
Israeli aircraft and drones have launched a series of strikes on populated areas in southern Lebanon, and there are wounded, the Lebanese national news agency NNA reports.
“According to preliminary data, there are casualties as a result of an Israeli enemy air strike on the village of Biyad in the area of Tyre,” the agency said in a statement.
According to the agency, Israeli aircraft also attacked the settlements of Maarake and Toul in southern Lebanon. In addition, the drone attacked the Al-Matal area in the village of Shehabiya.
The agency reported an Israeli UAV strike on Habbush and raids on other settlements in the southern regions of the country.
The media reports on the flights of Israeli drones at low altitude over Beirut and its suburbs.
Israel continues to launch attacks on Lebanese territory, despite the ongoing U.S.-mediated Lebanese-Israeli talks in Washington and the agreement reached between Iran and the United States, one of the main conditions of which is a cease-fire in Lebanon. Beirut says that as part of the negotiations, it is seeking a final ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied territories, the deployment of the Lebanese army at the international border, the return of prisoners and the launch of the reconstruction of the country.
