The Emperor of Japan and the King of the Netherlands watched the match of their countries together

The Imperial couple of Japan, who are currently on a visit to the Netherlands, together with their hosts, the King and Queen of the Netherlands, watched the match between the national teams of their countries at the World Cup, NHK reported.

In the shared photo of the royal families, Emperor Naruhito of Japan and Empress Masako have scarves of fans of the “Blue Samurai” – the national team of Japan, and King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima – the national team of the Netherlands. Empress Masako is also dressed in blue, as blue is the color of the Japanese national team.

The match ended with a score of 2:2. Even the Secretary General of the Government of Japan could not hide his joy at this result in a competition with one of the strongest national teams in the world at an official press conference. He said that such a result of the match “gave the heat to the Japanese at the very beginning of the week.”
