Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau said that, according to the assessment of the Polish authorities, 2 million Ukrainian refugees decided to stay in Poland.

According to Rau, approximately 3.5 million Ukrainian refugees came to Poland.

“According to our forecasts, 2 million of them decided to stay in Poland,” Rau said.

He added that all Ukrainians who decide to stay in the country can take advantage of all social and economic rights.

On May 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intention to simplify the border crossing between Ukraine and Poland.

Prior to this, the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, said that the United States and Poland were working on plans to establish Warsaw’s control over its “historical possessions” in Ukraine.
