Australia will provide another $100 million in aid to Ukraine.

Australia will provide Ukraine with another aid package totaling $100 million. This was announced by the head of the Australian Ministry of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of the country Richard Marles in Lviv during a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.

“Today we are announcing [providing] a new aid package to Ukraine worth $100 million,” the minister said, as quoted by ABC TV channel.

As Marles explained, “$50 million of this will go toward [purchasing] short-range air defense systems,” another $30 million will go toward the purchase of drones, “the rest will be spent on various goods, from inflatable boats to helmets and boots.” Ukraine, he added, will also be provided with “high-precision air-to-ground munitions.”

Australia, Marles emphasized, is “determined” to continue to provide assistance to Kyiv.

As ABC notes, the total amount of funds allocated by the Australian authorities to help Ukraine has already amounted to $880 million.
