Democratic Majority Leader in the upper house of the US Senate, Chuck Schumer, called the far-right Republicans in the House of Representatives sickening.

Schumer said the passage of the Foreign Aid bill and approval of government funding proves that despite the actions of right-wing lawmakers, Congress can still function.

“I don’t think Congress is dysfunctional. There are some dysfunctional people in it, but we can’t let them lead the parade… They’re nauseating, negative and don’t want anything done at all,” he said.
