The People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA) began to prepare for the worst-case scenario, which concerns the development of the situation around Taiwan, in connection with the US position on the island state.

“Both Japan and the United States have plans to intervene in the Taiwan issue by military means, so the PLA will conduct more military exercises, given the worst-case scenarios,” – experts say.

The Chinese military has conducted large-scale maneuvers in the Taiwan area three times in the past month. The military expert, who preferred to remain anonymous, stressed that such activity in recent years is quite rare for the PLA. He advised the United States to take the matter seriously and not to underestimate the willingness of Chinese soldiers to defend their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

Earlier it was reported that more people in Taiwan are learning how to shoot due to fears of a possible Chinese invasion.

Max Chiang, CEO of combat training company Polar Light, said that since the outbreak of the military conflict in Ukraine, the number of orders for shooting lessons with air weapons or low-powered devices designed to fire non-metal projectiles has quadrupled.
