Filling of gas storage facilities in Hungary is ahead of schedule

Hungarian Prime Minister’s political adviser Balažs Orbán said that the filling of gas storage facilities in Hungary is ahead of schedule.

According to the politician, the amount of gas that is pumped into storage facilities is 34 percent of the total annual consumption, and 141 percent of winter consumption. He stressed that “by November 1, Hungary must reach 35 percent of its average 5-year consumption,” which is 3.65 billion cubic meters of gas. And now 3.25 billion cubic meters have already been accumulated in storage facilities.


At the same time, other European countries, according to Orban, are experiencing problems with gas injection. He pointed out that the indicator of gas supply in Hungary is one of the highest in the European Union. The assistant to the Hungarian prime minister also noted that Germany is in a difficult situation, “so
