The United States will not be indifferent against the backdrop of threats from the DPRK, the permanent representative to the UN said.

The United States will not stand aside against the backdrop of threats emanating from the DPRK, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US Ambassador to the world organization, said at a meeting of the UN Security Council (SC).

“We will not tolerate accusations from any of the countries regarding our defensive actions in response to the threats of the DPRK. Despite the lack of cooperation from the DPRK, the United States remains ready for dialogue and diplomacy,” Thomas-Greenfield said. “However, the US will not stand by while the DPRK directly threatens the United States, our allies, and the entire world.”

On Wednesday, the UN Security Council is meeting in connection with the latest North Korean missile launch.
