The EU said it had received evidence of Iranian deliveries of UAVs to Russia.

The EU said it had received evidence of Iranian deliveries of UAVs to Russia.

The EU states that they have received their own evidence of alleged deliveries of drones by Iran to Russia and are preparing a response.

At the Council of Foreign Ministers on Monday, the ministers “expressed concern” about reports of deliveries of Iranian drones, Nabil Massrali, a spokeswoman for the European Union’s foreign service, said.

“The opinion was expressed that the EU should react quickly. Now that we have received our own sufficient evidence, work is underway within the EU Council to develop a clear, prompt and firm response from the EU,” she said.

Following a meeting in Brussels on Monday, EU Foreign Ministers Josep Borrell said that European countries will continue to collect evidence on the supply of Iranian drones and will make a decision at the appropriate moment.

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in July that Iran was allegedly preparing to transfer unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia, without explaining where the States got such information from and without providing any evidence. Subsequently, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani denied these allegations. In official statements and reports of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, information about the purchase and / or use of Iranian drones in the special operation zone did not sound.
