House Oversight Committee Republican James Comer promised an investigation into US President Joe Biden about whether his family was involved in international business schemes and whether the American leader is a national security risk.

“This investigation will be at the top of our priority list… An investigation into Joe Biden, the President of the United States, and why he lied to the American people about his family’s involvement in international business schemes,” Comer told reporters.

He stressed that the investigation will be devoted to answering questions about whether the family of the US president committed fraud, violated laws on corruption and foreign agents, or participated in conspiracies to launder money.

“We want to know what the Biden administration is hiding from the American people,” Comer said.

“The evidence makes one wonder if Joe Biden is a national security risk, compromised by foreign governments,” he added.

According to the legislator, the son of US President Hunter entered into business connections around the world and could become a millionaire simply by providing access to high-ranking members of his family. Among other things, as Comer pointed out, Hunter Biden could be connected to human traffickers, and evidence of the controversial activity is contained in his laptop.

On the eve of Biden, he congratulated the future speaker of the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, on the fact that the Republicans will take the majority of seats in the new legislature, which will begin work on January 3, 2023.
