After the terrorist attack in Istanbul, 71 people were discharged from hospitals.

The number of injured people discharged from hospitals after the terrorist attack in Istanbul is 71 people, in total, 81 people were injured in the explosion, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.

 

Last Sunday afternoon, an explosion occurred on the pedestrian Istiklal Street in the center of Istanbul, killing six people and injuring 81. The suspect in the attack was detained, she confessed to having links with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) banned in Turkey. The head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Suleiman Soylu, stated that there were suspicions that the indication of the terrorist attack came from Syria, and the perpetrator entered Turkish territory through the city of Afrin. Soilu said that the authorities of his country do not accept the condolences of the US Embassy in connection with the attack.

“The latest data on the condition of the victims of the explosion on Istiklal Street: The number of those whose treatment was completed and who were discharged from 81 wounded reached 71 people. The department continues to treat 8 wounded. Two patients are in intensive care. Our medical workers are doing everything possible,” Koja wrote on Twitter.
