Republicans announced the achievement of goals in the elections to the US Congress.

The Republican Party managed to achieve all three goals in the elections to the US House of Representatives, said the leader of the Republican majority in the House, Kevin McCarthy.

“The uniqueness of the situation is that we set a goal … to stop the agenda of (U.S. President Joe) Biden, win the majority and fire Nancy Pelosi. We just achieved all three,” he said.
At the same time, McCarthy admitted that he would like to see a greater advantage in favor of Republican seats in Congress.

On Wednesday, US President Joe Biden congratulated McCarthy on the fact that the party won the majority of seats in the primaries. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi later announced that she would no longer lead the Democrats in the House.

In this case, in the Senate, the US Democratic Party gets 50 seats and control of the upper house of Congress after the victory of their candidate Catherine Cortez-Mastro in Nevada. The Democrats need half, or 50 Senate seats, to control, as the upper house is led by Democratic administration vice president Kamala Harris.
