Thousands of pro-government protesters arrived at the Pakistan Armed Forces building.

Thousands of supporters of the ruling coalition of Pakistan arrive at the venue of the rally near the building of the country’s supreme court.

Crowds of demonstrators gathered in front of the building in anticipation of speeches by leaders of government parties led by President of the Democratic Party of Pakistan and leader of the Assembly of Muslim Ulema Maulana Fadal-Rahman and First Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The 13-party Pakistani government coalition earlier Monday announced the extension of a protest rally outside the country’s top courthouse that was turned into a sit-in against the “preferential treatment” of the country’s judiciary towards Justice Movement Party leader Imran Khan. The mentality committee began building tents and toilets.

Last week, pogroms and riots broke out in Lahore and other cities of Pakistan after the detention of Imran Khan. By decision of the Supreme Court, Khan was then released on bail.
