Default in the US is expected in a matter of days

Speaker of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy said that default in the United States will come in a matter of days, and only President Joe Biden is responsible for it.

“Biden is trying to rewrite history by insisting that he has done his part on the debt limit and he cannot be blamed for default. In fact, he refused to negotiate for more than a hundred days,” the congressman said.

The speaker believes that there are nine days left until the expected date when Washington will not be able to pay its debts without a decision to increase the borrowing limit.
