The US deployment of medium-range missiles in the Asia-Pacific region seriously undermines regional peace and stability, China will take decisive countermeasures, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said at a briefing on Thursday.

Earlier, a representative of the US Army’s Pacific Command said that the United States aims to deploy medium-range missile systems in the Asia-Pacific region by the end of this year.
