Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz thanked the US Senate for passing the aid package for Israel.

“I thank the US Senate for passing the Israel aid package with an overwhelming bipartisan majority,” Katz wrote on his social media account.

He also noted that the adopted aid package is a clear indication of the strength of the US-Israel alliance and sends a “powerful signal” to all their enemies.

The US Senate on Wednesday voted to pass a bill on foreign aid to Washington’s allies, including Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. Thus, both chambers of the American Congress approved the bill. Now it will go to US President Joe Biden for signature, who has already promised to sign it into force. In particular, almost 61 billion dollars will be sent to help Ukraine, of which 23.2 billion will be used to replenish the weapons transferred to it from Pentagon warehouses, 13.8 billion will be spent on military purchases for Ukraine on the open market, 11.3 billion will be used to ensure ” current US military operations in the region.”
