The Israeli Ministry of Health has reported a suspicion of the first case of Ebola

The Israeli Ministry of Health on Saturday announced the first person in the country suspected of being infected with the Ebola virus, an examination is underway, there is no confirmation yet.

“A person with suspected Ebola virus disease is in isolation and is receiving treatment in accordance with established professional protocols to combat highly dangerous infectious diseases… At this stage, this is only a suspicion, and no confirmed case of Ebola has been identified in Israel,” the statement said.

The Ministry of Health added that completion of the examination and receipt of the final result is expected within 48 hours.

Earlier, WHO recognized the situation with the current Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda as extraordinary and dangerous for other countries. WHO assesses the regional risk of the virus spreading as high.
