The US Senate, following the House of Representatives, supported a bill that would allocate about $1.2 trillion to continue the work of several federal departments until the end of the fiscal year, follows from the broadcast of the vote.

74 senators spoke in favor of the initiative, 24 legislators were against it.

The document provides for the allocation of $300 million to Ukraine, as well as $3.3 billion to Israel.

US President Joe Biden signed a new temporary budget to replace the previous short-term one; on March 22, lawmakers must agree on the second part of allocations for activities in the field of defense, finance, homeland security and foreign operations, otherwise the responsible departments face a suspension of work.
