Trump is appealing the court’s refusal to remove the prosecutor from his case.

Former US President Donald Trump, along with eight other clients, filed an appeal against a Georgia court’s refusal to remove District Attorney Fani Willis from the presidential election interference case.

Willis was previously accused of having a romantic relationship with a subordinate, Special Assistant District Attorney Nathan Wade, who resigned following a lengthy trial to allow his former team to continue working on the case involving Trump.

“Donald Trump and eight other defendants have appealed Judge (Scott) McAfee’s decision not to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the Georgia election interference case,” the  local media reported.

Trump, along with 18 other defendants, is on trial for attempting to use “racketeering” methods to turn the results of the 2020 presidential election in their favor in Georgia. Initially, they were charged with putting pressure on state officials and attempting to form an alternative list of electors, but later some of the charges were dropped.
