Germany discusses with Poland the issue of supplying weapons to Ukraine as part of an exchange

Germany is negotiating with Poland on the supply of weapons to Kyiv as part of a circular exchange, there are agreements with the Czech Republic and Greece, German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht told reporters.

“We have agreed on a circular exchange with the Czech Republic, on the transfer of systems from the Czech Republic, we are helping to compensate for this, we also want to do the same with Greece now. We are negotiating with Poland,” the minister said, commenting on the situation with the provision of weapons to Ukraine.

According to Lambrecht, the Ukrainian side received “a lot” from the reserves of the German Bundeswehr, including UAVs, anti-tank missiles and other weapons.

“If we didn’t have the opportunity, we went along the path through the military industry, for example, in the case of the Cheetahs, associated with this training … and along the path of circular exchange,” the minister explained.
