Swiss President Cassis urged citizens of the country to save money due to rising prices

Swiss President Ignazio Cassis called on the country’s citizens to save money due to inflation and rising energy prices.

“We should, apparently, lead a somewhat more frugal lifestyle, and we should get into the habit of saving on heating, travel and food,” the head of state said.

He also noted that Switzerland has recently been facing several crises at the same time, and, according to the president, the country will have to deal with inflation.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for preparations for a rise in energy prices against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine. He stressed that gas and heating oil have already increased significantly in price compared to last year. The head of government also noted that the German authorities have already taken a number of specific measures.
